So let me start off with some background info: According to the Swedish history you’re suppose to fast 40 days before easter. The fasting starts on a Wednesday, so what’s the only right thing to do on the Tuesday before? Obviously eat something really fatty, and there is where the “semla” comes in. “Fettisdagen” translate to Fatty Tuesday and is today celebrated by eating semla, which is a sweet bun filled with almond paste and cream, topped with powdered sugar.
We all know I’m a seriously big fan of tradition, especially mixed with bakning and I’m blessed to have a friend enjoying it almost as much as me.
For the sweet bun, I started doing the yeast dough the night before (after my kickboxing class) and put it in the fridge to work over night. In the morning I went to Fanny and Marcus to continue creating this fabulous creation.

Lunch:

We had a baking break where we cooked some lunch. On todays meny we had a very typical Swedish meal that I donut think I’ve eating since forever. It’s “raggmunkar” (potato pancakes), “blodpudding” (blood pudding) and bacon served with lingonberry sauce.
The whole idea was to have a little semel-party and I must say it was very successful!

This is so wrong !! It’s meant to be pearl sugar, not powdered sugar!!
