I finally made pulls pork again! This time in my student kitchen using a rice cooker in lack of a proper slow cooker. It worked quite well, it didn’t reach the same temperature as I’m used to so it took much longer time then I had excepted and I ended up having to bring it to my room and cook it over night. So it obviously cooked for a little bit too long but that wasn’t really noticeable. Quit nice actually to wake up in the morning to the smell of meat.
To make it I started with ruling the meat with salt, paprika powder, and oregano. Then I fried in in oil on high heat to get a nice surface, after that I put it in the cooker with some canned cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic, chilli and some herbs. My idea is to use this as lunch at work. I rolled some soft taco shells with the meat, beans, corn, tomatoes, creme cheese and coriander, then wrapped them in tin foil.
