After a few nights in Krakow we went to a little village called Zakopane, situated just 2 hours by bus south of Krakow. It is well known as a destination for winter sports but now in summer it is perfect for hiking. There are many hiking routs to choose between and unfortunately we only had time to do one. We hiked up Kasprowy. The top point is 1992 m over sea level and the total elevation of the hike was 1080 m. It was probably the most joyful hike I have ever done, mainly cause of the change of terrain and views. I could easily stayed for longer at this place to do more hikes and also relax at one of their thermal baths.
