On our hike from Kalaw to Inle Lake all of us clicked with our amazing guide Sunny. We then decided that instead of spending an other day in Nyaung Shwe we wanted to visit Sunny and his family. It was a bit tricky to get there, the first plan was to take a 40 minute bus to the train and then take a 2 hour train there, the problem was that they only had two trains a day and they both left in the early morning before we knew about it. After that we finally got hold of a driver that could drive us in a minivan the whole way to Aung Ban, definitely the smoothest option out of all.
This is in Sunny’s cute house where he lived with his wife, daughter, parents and other relatives. In total they we are 7 living together.
Here is Sunny himself serving us some home made lassi, the best one I have ever tasted. His great grandpa was emigrating from Nepal that explained why they served us all nepalese food and sweats, they really treated us like royalty.
Sunny’s sister, daughter and wife.
Then we got to milk his cow

He then invited us to a hindu party where we got to meat all sorts of people and again eat lots of food.
Us riding around in a sort of a pickup he had borrowed for the day.
