Next up was to take the night bus to Kalaw so I the next morning could do a hike to Inle Lake with some friends I met in Bagan. The hike took us two days, walking through different tribal villages, moutain farms and forests.
Here is one of the hill tribe ladies preparing some dried chill.

In Myanmar it’s most common having either two oxes or one buffalo doing the hard work on the farms.
We stopped the first day for some lunch at a nice family home.

This is the monastery where we spent the night with the monks.
I just love this duo. Mother and daughter from the Pa’O Tribe which you can tell by their colour scarf on their head.
Taking a breath catcher.
