Here I am, sitting in the outdoor lounge at a bungalow homestay, munching on some lotus seeds that was given to me from a man on the road. Simply just having a good time.

This morning I rented a scooter and went down to a town called Ninh Binh. It took me about 3 hours and apparently google maps want me to take any other way than the motorway where bikes were forbidden. Luckily there was a man on the side of the road that stopped me before I got on the motorway, he then showed me the way to the correct road, leading me on the wrong side though on coming traffic, but we made it. I can still not say if he was just nice or if he wanted me to pay him, he showed me some notes so I offered him some but he refused and looked a bit upset, maybe he just thought I was giving him to little bit I didn’t have time for a guessing game so I just went off. It also didn’t make it any easier that it was raining and the traffic went so slo on some of the slightly flooded parts.

I arrived to the homestay around midday, this is how beautiful it was
Then I went to Trag An where I went on a 2 hour boat trip though 9 different caves. It’s true what I have heard that it almost looked like Haling Bay but on land. I was in the boat with 3 Vietnamese elderly people. They were all so nice, some might say a little bit too nice, they were so scared that I was going to hit my head wen we went though the caves and must have thought that I was blind and kept pushing down my head, waved then the cave roof was miles away. We also got 3 paddles to make it a bit easier for the rower and when I took a photo or something the old lady would poke my pack with either her finger or her toes and even when I was paddling like a maniac she would flick her hand telling me to go faster. Over all it just added to the experience and we laughed a lot as well.

After that I had a little sun hunt were I drove around everywhere to find the most beautiful places to se the sun from. It was quite relaxing until I ended up on a tiny road between two rice fields that led to a dead end, it was fluffy grass everywhere so I couldn’t make out how slim the road was until I nearly dropped the bike in the ditch. It took me quite a while and cost me to nearly get a heart attack but I after a while I was back up on the road again.
