Halong bay was for some reason a place that really over exceeded my expectations, partly because it was freaking awesome but also because I didn’t really have any high expectations. I thought it would be an overcrowded tourists destination and for that reason I didn’t really look in to it too much. Yes it was a lot of tourists there but once out on the boat the area is so big so it feels like there were only few of us there.

After lunch we went out kayaking, it was so fascinating to see it all from an other perspective than up from the big boat, you just feel so tiny next to thise massive pillars. We also went though a little cave to get to a hidden “inlake”.

Let’s talk about the sunset. From the moment the sun started to head down I didn’t want to close my eyes for a second. I sat at the very front of the sundeck and just enjoyed the ever changing view as we floated forward in an even phase. I wish it could have gone on in slowmotion for days. As the sun really started to set I witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets in my life.
